The vision we have for our new market is to create something truly inclusive and culturally exciting – local, regional, creative, bohemian, warm and welcoming, with a mission to uncover and present the ‘best’ talent we can find, in both food, design, vintage and craft skills. We intend it to be a celebration of independent talent and love of life, which hopefully eventually will embrace entertainment, music, art and smiles all round, bringing our local community together for a cuppa, a good ‘browse’, tasty food, inspiration and some great bargains on a Sunday morning.
We decided that the last sunday of the month would not interfere with the fabulous Frome Market that we are inspired by (and don’t want to miss!) – the same as the new Clevedon market (which is not to be missed as well!) we thought we’d offer an alternative, meaning we can add another ‘Sundays’ cultural entertainment to our region, for our community and beyond.
We invite and welcome talent, entrepreneurship and good will to come together to create something uniquely Portishead, all we ask is that where possible cars get left at home or parked in such a way that our immediate neighbours and church goers (St Peters church is just behind us) don’t suffer or perceive this great possibility as anything other than something to delight in and be proud of. We hope this modest beginning will grow to become a unique cultural experience that adds to the fabric of our local neighbourhood and brings something positive and joyful to all.
We invite experienced traders and new traders to join us, (both small and larger) as we can guarantee that there is a vast and generous community here in Portishead ( and within 20 miles) who will embrace the new and welcome an exciting event with open arms.
If you’re interested in trading, please do contact us on at.courthousefarm@gmail.com or give us a call on 07738854990.
See you soon!
